Shape Properties

The following properties are available for shapes in the Properties window. For information on how to access these properties, see To configure a shape object.

NOTE: Not all properties are available for all shapes.

Description

Specifies a description for the object.

String value

Edge color

Specifies the edge color of the shape.

Select a color from the color palette.

Edge Style

Specifies the edge style.

Solid – a continuous line.

Dash – a series of dashes.

Dot – a series of dots.

Dash Dot – alternating dashes and dots.

Dash Dot Dot – dashes alternating with two dots.

None – no edge on the object.

Edge width

Specifies the width of the shape's edge.

Integer value from 0 to 200

Enabled

Specifies whether the Button, Combo Box, List Box, or Text Box is enabled.

True – the object is enabled. (Default)

False – the object is not enabled.

End Angle

Specifies which portion of the pie object is visible.

End X

Specifies the ending x-value of a line, pie, arc, or chord.

Integer value from –100000 to 100000

End Y

Specifies the ending y-value of a line, pie, arc, or chord.

Integer value from –100000 to 100000

Fill Style

Specifies the foreground fill style.

NOTE: Only the background color will be used for filling on text objects. The alternate color for non-solid fill styles will be transparent.

Solid – fills the object with a solid color.

Vertical – fills the object with vertical lines set to the foreground color.

Horizontal – fills the object with horizontal lines set to the foreground color.

Diagonal Up – fills the object with diagonal lines from the top left to the bottom right set to the foreground color.

Diagonal Down – fills the object with diagonal lines from the bottom left to the top right set to the foreground color.

Cross – fills the object with a grid set to the foreground color.

Diagonal Cross – fills the object with a diagonal grid set to the foreground color.

Hollow – gives the object no foreground color, allowing the background color to show fully.

Foreground Color

Specifies the foreground color of the shape.

Select a color from the color palette.

Height

Specifies the height of the shape in the display.

Integer value from 1 to 100000

Specifies the direction of fill for the Horizontal Fill animation.

Line Color

Specifies the color of the line or polyline object.

Select a color from the color palette.

Line Style

Specifies the line style.

Solid – a continuous line.

Dash – a series of dashes.

Dot – a series of dots.

Dash Dot – alternating dashes and dots.

Dash Dot Dot – dashes alternating with two dots.

None – no edge on the object.

Line Width

Specifies the width of the line.

Integer value from 0 to 200

Pie Type

Specifies the constraints of the angle included between start and end angle properties.

Wedge – the included angle is <= 180. (Default)

Cutout – the included angle is >= 180.

Freehand – there is no restriction on the included angle.

Radius

Specifies the radius of a pie object.

Integer value from 1 to 100000

Rotation Angle

Specifies the angle to rotate the specified object by.

Integer value from 0 to 360

Roundness X

Specifies the horizontal roundness of a rounded rectangle.

Integer value from 0 to 100

Roundness Y

Specifies the vertical roundness of a rounded rectangle.

Integer value from 0 to 100

Start Angle

Specifies which portion of the pie object is visible.
