If you have not already done so, insert a Histogram chart by selecting it from the Insert menu, or double-click an existing chart to access the configuration panel.
Select the Chart tab.
In the Specification Limits section, one of the following:
Not Specified - select this option if you do not want the upper specification limit (USL), lower specification limit (LSL), or target values shown on the chart.
Specified - select this option if you want the upper specification limit (USL), lower specification limit (LSL), and target values shown on the chart. If you have selected the Specified option button, select either the Constant or Data Source option buttons. For Constant, enter the values for USL, LSL, and Target. For Data Source, click the Configure Data Source buttons beside USL, LSL, and Target to select the source for the values.
From VisualSPC Source - select this option if you want the specification limits to be retrieved from the ShopFloor SPC data source.
In the Normal Curve Properties section, select the Calculated from Data or Specified option button.
If you select the Specified option, select the Constant or Data Source option button. For the Constant option, enter the values for the mean and standard deviation. For the Data Source option, click the Configure Data Source buttons beside Mean and Std Dev to select the source for the values.
If you want 3 Sigma and Mean lines to appear on the chart, select the Display 3 Sigma and Mean Lines check box.
