Copying Data from Objects in Run-time

Data can be copied to your computer's clipboard from all grids and charts.

When you copy selected cells or pens, Proficy Portal exports the data to your computer's clipboard in CSV format, allowing you to paste the information into any application that accepts CSV files, such as Microsoft Excel.

To copy data from a grid:

  1. In the run-time environment, select the data in the grid that you want to copy.

  2. Right-click in the selected area and select Copy to Clipboard.

  3. Open the application you want to copy the data into.

  4. Use the application's Paste feature to paste the data.

To copy data from a chart:

  1. In the run-time environment, right-click in the data area of the chart and select Copy to Clipboard.

  2. Open the application you want to copy the data into.

  3. Use the application's Paste feature to paste the data.
