The run-time environment is more than simply a tool used to view displays in Proficy Portal. The run-time environment offers much of the functionality of the configuration environment, if the user has permission to modify a display. The types of tasks that can be performed during run-time differ for the various types of objects, but some tasks are common to multiple or to all objects.
