To set limits on the number of records retrieved

  1. Start building your SELECT or CALL statement or load an existing statement. How?

  2. Select the Statement Options tab.

  3. In the Max number of values for browse button field, enter the maximum number of records you want to build a list of values in the Value column of the Query Specification tab.

  4. In the Max number of records retrieved field, enter the maximum number of records you want retrieved when you execute the statement. This restriction does not apply when the statement is used as the data source of an object.

  5. Select the Apply this Max to SQL Statement check box to apply the limit set in the Max number of records retrieved box to the statement. This will limit the number of records retrieved when the statement is executed as a data source of an object in a client display.
