Configuring the Search Script for Apache

The Help Search feature is configured for use with IIS. To use the Help Search feature with Apache, you must make a few minor modifications, as described in the following:

  1. Open Windows Explorer.

  2. Navigate to the Proficy Portal Help directory (by default, it is in C:\Program Files\GE Fanuc\Proficy Portal\webapps\infoAgentSrv\Documentation\English).

  3. Locate the file whskin_pdhtml.htm and rename it to whskin_pdhtml_IIS.htm.

  4. Locate the file whskin_pdhtml_apache.htm and rename it to whskin_pdhtml.htm.

The search feature will now be available for Apache.  

To enable the Help Search when using IIS:

NOTE: The Help Search is enabled for IIS, by default, when Proficy Portal is installed on IIS. The following procedure is required only when switching from Apache to IIS.

  1. Open Windows Explorer.

  2. Navigate to the Portal Help directory (by default, it is in C:\Program Files\GE Fanuc\Proficy Portal\webapps\infoAgentSrv\Documentation\English)

  3. Locate the file whskin_pdhtml.htm and rename it to whskin_pdhtml_apache.htm.

  4. Locate the file whskin_pdhtml_IIS.htm and rename it to whskin_pdhtml.htm.

The Search feature will now be available for IIS.
