If you are having trouble retrieving data from Proficy Plant Applications Plant Database, use the following guidelines to help you determine the cause of the problem:
Verify that you are using the GE Fanuc SQL Server driver.
Verify that the Plant Database is running and is available. See Connector Requirements in the Proficy Portal IPI (Important Product Information) for detailed information on the compatible versions. The IPI can be accessed from this help system (click Important Product Information in the Table of Contents).
Verify that the data source configuration for the relational database you are communicating with is correct. If it is incorrect, make the necessary changes. For more information on examining and modifying a data source configuration, refer to the section Adding Data Sources.
Be aware that it may take several minutes for the Plant Database connector to initialize itself after server start-up.
