Use of S7-PLCSIM
with failsafe programs
QUESTION:
How
does S7-PLCSIM support failsafe programs?
ANSWER:
F-programs are
supported directly from V5.2 of S7-PLCSIM onwards. In other words,
if S7-PLCSIM V5.2 is installed, the function blocks for your
project cannot be replaced by simulation blocks in simulation mode.
The "Simulation" button in the "Process safety program" dialog
field disappears.
Note:
However, certain
restrictions continue to apply to the use of S7-PLCSIM V5.2:
·
|
Communication
between CPUs is not supported.
|
·
|
S7-PLCSIM cannot
re-initialize the safety program after the "F_SHUTDN" function
block is restarted. In this case, the user must re-start
S7-PLCSIM.
|
·
|
In order to load
the safety program in S7-PLCSIM V5.2, the user has to install the
hardware first, then load the safety program. S7-PLCSIM uses an
unchangeable password for the CPU:
plcsim (lower-case
lettering). |
·
|
S7-PLCSIM can be
used for S7 F/FH system.
|
·
|
As from the
Distributed Safety Version V5.3 variables of the safety program can
be observed and controlled and other write accesses to the safety
program can be run. Once the consistent safety program has been
loaded into S7-PLCSIM the Safety mode (in the "Safety Program"
dialog) must be disabled before controlling the variables.
Otherwise S7-PLCSIM might go into STOP.
