Set Source Range

Description

Set Source Range uses a named range to define the list of sources that are used by subsequent RSA function blocks in an output or routing logic module.

Important: Whenever a range is used the logic module must begin with two blocks in the following order.

Block	Module Options		Purpose
1	Can be either:
		Set Source Range	Defines the range that the block evaluates.
		Set Source Solve
2	Must be:
		Set Block Weights	Sets the relative importance of each of the subsequent blocks by assigning a weight to each block.

Parameters

This function block has the following parameters:

Parameter	Description
Range Name	Name of a range of sources. Double-click Range Name to display the browse dialog for ranges. Do one of the following. Enter an existing range or region name. Click the Browse button to select from a list of existing ranges. Click the Pop-up button and: Click Browse to select from a list of existing ranges, or Click New to define a new range. The Range Viewer dialog box appears.
Item Class	(Optional) Class of item to include within the range.
Range Point ID	(Optional) Text point that stores a range name. Supercedes Range Name.

Note: A range can be made up of entire regions or partial regions. A partial region consists of a subset of subset of the locations in a region, with the start location and end location of this subset specified using the following conventions:

Location Value	Returns Items
>0	Only the items in that location corresponding to the entered value will be returned.
=-1	From the LAST location in the region.
=-2	From the FIRST location in the region.
=-3	From ALL locations in the region.
	StartLocation	EndLocation	Returns Items
=0	=-3	=-3	From all locations in the region.
	=-2	=-2	From the FIRST location in the region.
	=-1	=-1	From the LAST location in the region.
	=-1	>0	Currently undefined. This will return an empty set.
	>0	=-1	From StartLocation (greater than zero) to the end of the region.
	>0	>0	Between StartLocation and EndLocation. Note: StartLocation should be less than or equal to EndLocation.
	=1	=-1	From all locations in the region.
