info Info

Alarm groups are used for grouping messages that belong together.

A name, a number, a color, a function and a status variable can be assigned to each group or class.

The alarm groups are used for object-oriented technologic differentiation:

= Pump information

= Flow information

= ...

There are three ways to create an alarm group:

Configuration and management of the alarm groups is done via the respective properties.

Configurable properties of an alarm group are:

Name of the alarm group (Display in filter condition of AIL and CEL)

Assignment of the alarm group color

Button '...' opens palette for color selection.

Number of the variable, as specified by the system.

Description of the alarm group. Only for informative purposes.

Status variable

Status variable of the alarm group / alarm class.

This bit variable indicates whether the group is active or whether the alarms of this group are ignored at the moment. You can only select binary variables. Group active (=1) / Group inactive (=0)
The status of this group is logged in the Chronological event list (CEL).

Button '...' opens the dialog for variable selection.

Function of the alarm group.

Specifies a user-defined function that is executed after activation of the alarm group by an alarm status, e.g. technological city call
This function is executed automatically if an alarm of this group or class occurs.

Button '...' opens the dialog for function selection.

If an alarm group is to be deleted, a query message is displayed.

If the query is confirmed, the alarm group is deleted. All linked process variables lose their group assignment.
