Create a new project

There are two methods for creating a new project:

Project

 

- Project type

Choose between standard and global project.

- Project name

Choose a name for your new workspace. The default name <Project>is invalid and must be replaced.

- Storage location

Select a folder for saving the new workspace.

Add to active workspace: The new project is added to the workspace that is currently active. The path of the workspace ist proposed as the default storage place.

Create new workspace: If in the course of creating a new project you realize that you want to add the project to a workspace that does not exist already, you can create a new workspace at the same time you are creating the project. The user directory is suggested as a default.

- Workspace name

Choose a name for your new workspace. The default name <Workspace>is invalid and must be replaced.

- Runtime directory

Select a folder for saving the runtime files of your new project. The user directory is suggested as a default.

Options

 

- Multi-user project

If several users are supposed to work on the project simultaneously, the project must be configured as a multi-user project. You will find more information in the chapter Distributed Engineering.

- Project server

If the option 'multi-user project' is active, you can select a project server here.
