Right click on a user-defined datatype in the
list and select Create structure
datatype
in the context menu.
In the appearing dialog, define the name and close it with
Finish
.
The name of the structure datatype can be changed later on in the
properties window.
Now a dialog opens, with which the first structure element can be created. Enter a unique name and click on to select the basic datatype, on which it should be based. Even structures can be linked as structure elements. Embedding structures as structure elements is not possible. And only entire structures (not parts of structures) can be linked.
State if the datatype should be embedded or
linked by activating the corresponding checkbox. A more detailed
description of linking and embeding can be found in the chapter
Definition of terms - Structure elements. Define the array
dimensions. If you do not want to use an array set the dimensions
to 0. Confirm the settings with Finish
