Summary:

It has been found that Microsoft's first release of TCP/IP is unstable when used with Citect. If you have Microsoft's TCP/IP installed and startup Citect, the computer may crash back to the DOS prompt.

Solution:

Currently, we don't recommend using Microsoft's first release of TCP/IP, see also Q1218. Citect has been successfully tested with PC/TCP Network Software V2.3, see also Q1238.
