Proficy Portal ships with a predetermined seat licensing. For example, if you buy a 5 seat license to the software, you can have 5 simultaneous connections to the Proficy Portal server.
If you have reached your maximum amount of allowed connections, any further connections will result in an error. As a result, you may want to ensure that certain users always have access to the Proficy Portal applications.
To reserve a dedicated session
Open the Proficy Portal Administration application.
Click the Roles & Users button.
Expand the Roles or Users folder in the tree, and select the role or user you want to reserve a session for.
In the General tab, select the Has Reserved Session check box.
Click the Apply button.
