Use the following guidelines to troubleshoot your OPC connections if you experience difficulty accessing process data:
The OPC server you want to connect to is available and running.
The login account configured for the OPC server exists on the OPC server you want to connect to. You can determine the login account that is configured for an OPC server by using the Administration application. Refer to the section Adding Data Sources for more information.
The OPC server has the RIFTCP service installed and running. For more information about installing the service, refer to the section Configuring a Remote OPC/PI/CIMPLICITY Server.
