Configuring Plant Applications Data Sources

The Plant Database connector allows you to retrieve data from Proficy Plant Applications' Plant Databases. When the connection is set up, under the Plant node in Proficy Portal's Data Sources tree, you will see structures that mirror the Plant Models defined in the connected databases. A set of standard Plant Database functions are available from certain nodes of a Plant Model tree. When an object (such as a Grid) is configured with a function, default parameter values can be set and columns can be shown or hidden.
Although the Plant Database Connector supports a set of standard functions, these functions can be customized and new functions can be created by importing stored procedures that have been set up in the Proficy Portal SQL Statement Builder.
