One of the most important aspects of creating your analysis displays is their navigation. Like any web-based content, you need to provide an easy, consistent way of moving from one display to another.
On the Internet, jumping from one web page to another is handled with hyperlinks. With Proficy Portal, you can use hyperlinks, buttons, or the system tree on the Displays tab. Each of these mechanisms provides different ways of navigating across analysis displays. For example, hyperlinks and buttons allow you to open web pages in a separate window or replace the current displays with new content. The system tree, however, always replaces the current display or weblink with a new one.
