If you have not already done so, insert a chart by selecting it from the Insert menu, or double-click an existing chart to access the chart's configuration panel.
Click the Data tab.
If necessary, add the pen(s) to the chart. There are two ways to add pens (choose one):
Click the pen you want to configure.
On the X Axis tab, select the Show Axis tab check box .
In the Labels field, enter the number of labels to show on the x axis.
If you want the same number of major tick marks as the set number of labels, select the Same As Labels check box. If you want the number of major tick marks to be different than the number of labels, clear the Same As Labels check box and enter the number in the Major Ticks box.
In the Minor Ticks box, enter the number of minor ticks to show on the x axis.
From the Orientation list box, select the orientation of the x axis (Bottom or Top).
To change the color of the x axis line and tick marks, click the Axis Color button and select from the color palette.
To show a title on the x axis title, select the Show Title check box and enter the title in the Axis Title box.
In the Time Axis Options section, if you want the date to appear on the x axis, select the Show Date check box and select a format from the Date Format list box.
If you want to normalize time on the x axis (that is, set the start time to 00:00:00), select the Normalize check box. Alternatively, if you do not want the time to be normalized, clear the Normalize check box.
If you do not set the time on the x axis to Normalize, you can select a format from the Time Format list box.
