You can set a Quick Time control on the following objects: Time chart, XY chart, Correlation chart, and Historian grid. By default, the Quick Time control for these objects is not enabled.
NOTE: Additionally, you can set a Quick Time control to appear on the run-time toolbar (see To configure Quick Time options for the current display for information on setting Quick Time options for the display level).
Access the object's configuration dialog box and select the Quick Time tab.
Select the Enable Quick Time check box.
NOTE: When Quick Time is enabled on a component, all data sources set for that component will automatically use the Quick Time rather than the data source item time (as set on the Edit Source dialog box).
If you want the object's Quick Time control to be updated automatically when the display-level Quick Time control is used, select the Synchronize with display time check box.
NOTE: If the run-time toolbar has not been configured to appear on the current display, when you select the Synchronize with display time check box, the run-time toolbar will be shown automatically on the current display.
To change the Foreground (text) for the Quick Time control, click the Foreground button and select a color from the color palette.
To change the Background color of the Quick Time control, click the Background button and select a color from the color palette.
To change the date format, select an option from the Date Format drop-down list.
To change the time format, select an option from the Time Format drop-down list.
To show calendar button(s) on the time display, select the Show Calendar Button check box.
Select one of the four option buttons (Show Date, Show Time, Show Date & Time, or Show Time & Date) according to the type of date and/or time display you want shown on the chart.
Select the Time Mode option (Absolute, Relative, or Range).
For the Absolute option – select the specific Start and End times.
For the Relative option – select options from the Start and End list boxes. The Start and End date/time display automatically updates as you change the values.
For the Range option – select an option from the Range list box. The Start and End date/time display automatically updates as you change the value.
For Historian Grid only: to show scroll buttons, select the Show Scroll Buttons check box.
Enter a percentage for the Scroll Percent amount.
Enter a percentage for the Fast Percent amount.
