Quick Time Properties

Quick Time is a control that allows you to update the time based on pre-configured time settings. The following property descriptions apply to Quick Time configuration for objects - Time, XY, and Correlation charts, as well as the Historian grid. Although the Quick Time configuration options for display-level Quick Time are similar, there are some differences. For information on display-level Quick Time properties, see Display Settings Properties.

Enable Quick Time

Allows you to enable the Quick Time control on the object.

Selected – the Quick Time control will appear on the object.

Cleared – the Quick Time control will not appear on the object (default).

Synchronize with
display time

Synchronizes the component's Quick Time control with the display's Quick Time control. When this option is enabled, the run-time toolbar will appear on the display automatically (if it is not already configured to show on the display).

Selected – in run-time, when the scroll buttons or the Quick Time control on the run-time toolbar is used, Quick Time on the chart or grid will be automatically synchronized.

Cleared – there is no synchronization between component and display-level Quick Time.

Foreground
button

Specifies the color of the displayed date/time.

Select a color from the color palette.

Background
button

Specifies the background color of the date/time display.

Select a color from the color palette.

Date Format

Specifies the format of dates defined in the Time Mode section of this window.

Specifies the format of times defined in the Time Mode section of this window.

Show Calendar
Button

Indicates whether the calendar button is shown during run mode when the date/time is absolute.

Selected – the calendar button is accessible during run mode.

Cleared – the calendar button is not accessible during run mode.

Date/Time
option buttons

Allows you to set the display to show only the date, only the time, or the date and time in either order.

Show Date – select to show the date only.

Show Time – select to show the time only.

Show Date & Time – select to show the date and time with the date showing first.

Show Time & Date – select to show the time and date with the time showing first.

Absolute

Allows you to define a fixed date and time for the time criteria.

Start – allows you to select a start date and time from the calendar, or place your cursor before the value you want to change and use the Up or Down arrows on your keyboard.

Stop – allows you to select an end date and time from the calendar or place your cursor before the value you want to change and use the Up or Down arrows on your keyboard.

Relative

Allows you to define a date and time that is relative to a certain day, month, week, shift, and so forth.

Start – allows you to select a relative value from the list box. The displayed start date/time below changes to reflect your selection.

Stop – allows you to select a relative value from the list box. The displayed stop date/time below changes to reflect your selection.

NOTES: The default value for both Start and Stop is the current date and time.

Specific dates/times, such as Day Shift are defined in the Named Time Editor.

Range

Allows you to define a date and time that is either relative or absolute, depending on your selection.

Range – the displayed Start and Stop date/time below changes to reflect your selection. For example, if you select Last Hour, the Start date/time changes to one hour before the current time (relative option). If you select Q1, the Start and Stop date/time values change to the first 3 months of the year (absolute option).

NOTE: Specific dates/times, such as Day Shift are defined in the Named Time Editor.

Show Scroll
Buttons

NOTE: Historian Grid only.

Indicates whether to display scroll buttons on the grid.

Selected – scroll buttons are shown.

Cleared – scroll buttons are hidden.

Scroll Percent

NOTE: Historian Grid only.

The percentage amount that is assigned to the regular scroll buttons.

Values 1-100.

Fast Percent

NOTE: Historian Grid only.

The percentage amount that is assigned to the fast scroll buttons.

Values 1-100.
