Each SPC chart allows you the option of excluding bad data. Data that is marked as bad is excluded from analysis, and therefore gives you a more accurate report on the stability of a process. When data is excluded, all control limits and descriptive statistics are recalculated, and alarm rules (if they are used) are re-executed. There are two ways to exclude bad data:
Mark the data points on the chart during run-time. Refer to Marking Bad Data for more information.
Set up filters in the chart configuration panel. Refer to Filtering Bad Data for more information.
NOTE: Bad data handling does not apply to the Correlation chart.
