Open the Proficy Portal Administration application.
Click the Roles & Users button.
In the tree, expand the Roles or Users folder and select a role or user.
Select the Data Sources tab.
From the list on the left, select the data source you want to secure.
Select the Use the data source default credentials option if you want to use the default login configured for the data source.

Select the Use these credentials option if you want to specify a username and password for the data source.
In the Login Name field, enter a login name to assign to the data source.
In the Password field, enter a password to assign to the data source.

Select the Use this role's credentials option and select a role from the drop-down list if you want to assign the login information for the selected role.

Select the Use the interactive user's credentials option if you want to assign the login for the current session to the data source.
Click Test to make sure that the credentials you have specified are valid.
Click the Apply button for your changes to take effect.
