Component preferences allows you configure the following items:
The default template to use, for each object type, when a data source is dropped into a display.
The default threshold table for the Alarm Analysis object.
The default filter to use for the Alarm Analysis object.

Threshold tables allow you to color values in alarm analysis objects based on the specific values or a range of values. When selecting a threshold table, you also have the option to customize the table so that it uses the thresholds you require. After the thresholds are set, you can save the table with a new name. For more information about using thresholds, refer to the section Thresholds.
Filters limit the data displayed by the alarm analysis object because only the data that matches the filter condition is shown. You can create filters with the alarm analysis object. For more information on this object, refer to the section The Alarm Analysis Object.
