Properties | Setting preferences for the current display
In addition to configuring application-wide defaults, you can also specify defaults for the current display by selecting Current Display Settings from the Edit menu. When you select this command, the Edit Current Display Settings dialog box appears. This dialog box provides a Display tab identical to the Display tab of the Edit Application Preferences dialog box. The main differences between the two dialog boxes are:
The Edit Current Display Settings dialog box only affects the current display; the Edit Application Preferences dialog box affects all Proficy Portal displays.
Display-level settings override Application-level settings for each individual display. For example, if you set an application preference to hide the run-time toolbar, you can override it by selecting the Toolbar Visible check box in the Edit Current Display Settings dialog box while that display is open.
For example, suppose you set the application display default background color to white. If you create a display called Overview.dpi, its background is white, by default. If you subsequently change the application display default background color to red, the background color of Overview.dpi remains white, but new displays automatically use the new default.
