Links are objects available in Proficy Portal to connect a display to some form of external information. A link can be used to import information into a display, or to direct the user to a different location. The following link objects are available within Proficy Portal:
Hyperlinks – link to another display, or an external web site.
VariableLinks – displays system variables.
Datalinks – shows data within an Proficy Portal display and allows you to write data back to the server, or to access an analysis object such as a grid or chart.
Time and Date Links – displays a time/date value within a display.
