To set a chart's annotation options

For more information on annotations, refer to Annotating Charts.

This procedure applies to Time and Event charts.

  1. If you have not already done so, insert a chart by selecting it from the Insert menu, or double-click an existing chart to access the chart's configuration panel.

  2. Select the Chart tab.

  3. Set annotation options:

    • To display annotation flags on the chart during run-time, select the Show Annotations check box. The annotation flags appear as a small rectangle on the data point (at run-time).

    • Click the Annotation Color button to change the color of the flag. Select a new color from the Annotation Color dialog box and click OK.

    • Click the Annotation Border button to change the color of the flag's outline. Select a new color from the Annotation Border dialog box and click OK.

    • Click the Annotation Highlight button to change the color of the flag's highlight. Select a new color from Annotation Highlight dialog box and click OK.

    • In the Annotation Max Length box, enter the maximum number of characters for each annotation (1-256).
