NOTE: You can install Proficy Portal in the Default Web Site or in another web site of your choice.
When you install Proficy Portal, the following steps are completed:
A virtual directory named ProficyPortal is created for the Proficy Portal web application.
A virtual directory for the ISAPI filter named jakarta is created, used to redirect requests to the Apache Software Foundation's Java servlet engine.
The ISAPI filter is installed to the jakarta directory.
IIS is restarted.
If any of these steps fail, you may see the following error when logging into Proficy Portal:
The page cannot be found
Make sure the latest Windows updates are installed and try to log in again. If the problem persists, you can complete the previous steps manually using the instructions in these sections that follow:
