To format individual columns

  1. If you have not already done so, insert a grid into your display. How?

  2. If you have not already done so, add the data source. How?

  3. Click the Columns tab. You will see a list of the columns you selected from the data source.

  4. If you have more than one data source, and you want the columns grouped by each data source, select the Group Columns By Data Sources check box. The data sources must have the same columns selected to use this feature. Regardless of the order of the columns in the Columns tab, during run-time the columns will be shown grouped by data source.

  5. Select the column that you want to format. If you want all the columns to have the same configuration options, select the Apply Configuration To All Data Sources check box and change options as necessary for the one column.

  6. To set the column to display as a row header, select the Row Header check box.

  7. To set the column to display on the grid, select the Visible check box. Clear the Visible check box if you want to hide the column.

  8. To set the column to be editable during run-time, select the Editable check box.

  9. To set column data (where applicable) to repeat on each row, select the Auto Fill Data check box. This check box is available only for Historian Grids.

  10. To change the order that columns are displayed, select the column you want to move and use the Up or Down arrow buttons to move the column.

TIP: The General, Threshold, Format, and Enumeration tabs on the Columns tab use column default. If you want to make changes to any default settings on these tabs, select Default Column Settings from the Columns list, make the necessary changes, and click OK.   1. To change the font settings, text color, and column background color:

    • If you have not already done so, select the column you want to make changes to.

    • On the General tab, clear the Use Default Column Settings check box.

    • Select from the Font, Style, and/or Size list boxes to make changes to the font.

    • To change the color of the text for a column, click the Text Color button and select a new color from the palette.

    • To change the background color for a column, click the Background button and select a new color from the palette.

  2. To change the data format options:

    • If you have not already done so, select the column you want to make changes to.

    • On the Format tab, clear the Use Default Column Settings.

    • Select the Enable Format check box.

    • To format the column data as numeric, click the Numeric option button.

      • Enter the number of Integer Digits.

      • Enter the number of decimal digits.
