As you develop your Proficy Portal displays, you may want to update specific objects based on changing data source values, system variable values, or the selection of a value from another object. Using Proficy Portal, you can accomplish either task by connecting data source, variable, or object property values to a shape, another object, a display property, or an SQL parameter using one of the following methods:
Using the Shape Properties.
Using the Link Property To feature.
Using Variable Connections.
The exact method you choose depends on your application. For example, if you want to rotate, scale, or dynamically fill a shape, use the Animations command. However, if you want to update an object based on a selection, use the Link Property To feature.
