Configuring an XY chart

1. If you have not already done so, insert a chart by selecting it from the Insert menu How?

2. After you add the chart to your display, set miscellaneous chart options such as the chart's name, refresh settings, modification restriction, and antialiasing. How?

3. Enter/configure the chart's title. How?

4. Customize the chart's background appearance. How?

5. Add pens:

6. • Select a data source from the Data Source Browser. How?

6. Configure pens:

7. • Configure the X axis pen. How?

   • Configure the Y axis pen. How?

8. After configuring a tab, if you want the configuration to be applied to all tabs, select the tab you want to apply and click the Apply Tab button. If you want all tabs you configured to be applied to all pens, click the Apply All Tabs button.

9. NOTE: Trend buffer options that are set for real time data sources (on the Options tab) cannot be applied to other pens with the Apply Tab or Apply All Tabs buttons.

10. Set up the chart's axes and cursors. How?

11. Customize zooming options. How?

12. Customize scrolling options. How?

13. Specify Quick Time parameters. How?

14. Customize the legend. How?

15. Specify the chart's font. How?

16. Click OK to save your changes.
