Configuring a Category chart

  1. If you have not already done so, insert a chart by selecting it from the Insert menu How?

Double-click an existing chart to access the chart's configuration panel.

  1. After you add the chart to your display, set miscellaneous chart options such as the chart's name, modification restriction, and antialiasing. How?

  2. Enter/configure the chart's title. How?

  3. Customize the chart's background appearance. How?

  4. Add and configure the chart data:

    • Select a data source. How?

    • Configure categories and series. How?

  6. Configure Bar/Pie chart 3D settings. How?

  7. Set Bar chart bar layout options. How?

  8. Set Line chart plot margin options. How?

  9. Set Pie chart plot area options. How?

  10. Specify Tool Tip settings. How?

  11. For Bar and Line charts:

    • To show a summary line on the chart, set summary line options. How?

    • Configure the value axis. How?

    • Configure the category axis. How?

    • Set horizontal grid options. How?

  13. Customize the legend. How?

  14. Specify the chart's font. How?

  15. Click OK to save your changes.
